mixed media Art

Teacher: Kisma

Inside each of us an artist resides. Perhaps your artist is scared and hiding. Perhaps your artist is peeking out from behind a curtain. Perhaps your artist is standing in the sunlight, paintbrush in hand with smeared paint on fingers and hands. Kisma welcomes and celebrates each level of Artist!

We Come Together to Play and explore Intentional Creativity.

Kisma offers topic series and projects for Mixed Media Art paper or canvas. While her classes are on-going, she will always work on a project that students are welcome to join in but may also bring their own projects for requested assistance with.

Each project will cover a specific focus, techniques and tool demonstrations.

Every wanted to know the secrets behind what is called Mixed Media Art?

Come join Kisma in a series of classes that will cover a range of techniques from Mixed Media Art 101 to a major canvas project.

Mixed Media Art involves many different mediums and techniques. Each week we will look at these. Mixed Media Art is NOT arts-n-crafts. The normal substrate used is a canvas, and very involved. A finished piece usually takes weeks to complete and some serious planning.

Mediums subject to use: acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal/graphite, collage, encaustic effects, textures, textiles and typography and other special items.

Artist may work on their own project or the project presented by Kisma. We will often work from page to canvas. Kisma will usually offer a project or class series that will assist the beginner or person really wanting to dive into Mixed Media Art a process from start to finish.

However, if you are an intermediate or advanced artist, you are very welcome to come to enhance your skill set by attending just one class. I do believe you might just learn something new and if not, then we'll have a fun playdate together!

Beginners are welcome.

Please check Kisma's MEETUP Class Listing for the current project and list of supplies you'll need to bring.

The list provides a basic supply list, but ultimately you can use whatever you have.
